ABOUT ME Andrea "Andie" Schwartz, M.Ed., RD, LDN, CLC, CSCS, NSCA-CPT, RYT-200 Nutrition and Fitness Expert Expertise Andie is an experienced Registered Dietitian, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Certified Personal Trainer, and Registered Yoga Teacher. In other words, she knows how to maximize health and athletic performance from A to Z. She's a health care practitioner with over two decades of experience offering nutrition counseling along with sports and lifestyle coaching. Her focus on good nutrition and fitness inspires her clients—whether from her private practice, health care providers, coaches, sports teams, sports clubs, or employees at organizations. As a fitness professional, she teaches fitness and Yoga classes, offering one-on-one sessions, small group classes, and workout programs. She also provides personal nutrition counseling and medical nutrition therapy to individuals. Career Highlights Along with being a nutrition expert, Andie is also a life-long competitive athlete, former NCAA cross country, track and field heptathlete, and Team USA National and International Triathlete. She is a living example of how dedication, consistency, hard work, and a passion for success can lead to a fulfilling yet healthy life. Her undergraduate and graduate degrees in Psychology, Sports & Recreation, and Nutrition Science have shaped her unique nutrition, and movement-based approach to help clients reach their health potential. My Inspiration At home, she's passionate about raising two kids who live active lifestyles and embrace positive eating habits. They cook together using fresh, wholesome, and nutrient-dense food to create feel-good meals that support their healthy lifestyle. You can find them biking, running, playing soccer, or Yoga together in their spare time. When Andie isn’t busy being her family’s team captain, she enjoys spending time outdoors, training for running and obstacle races, Stand Up Paddling (SUP), swimming, or teaching and practicing Yoga. ANDIE'S NUTRITION PHILOSOPHY Her approach to nutrition and fitness is grounded in mindfulness and rooted in the intuitive eating and behavioral modification approach. This science and behavioral treatment approach helps patients fuel and heal their bodies while also developing a healthy relationship with food. My nutrition specialities include fitness nutrition, sports performance nutrition, early life nutrition (preconception, pregnancy, lactation), pediatric and adolescent nutrition, and disordered eating.
